The Mahatma and his Criminal Son : Dewanand of the Netherlands
image : indpride.com

On a cold day during the winter season a small and innocent boy was sitting by the fire. He did not know much about the new world where he was born, but he wanted to learn everything and decided to ask the old woman who was taking care of him many questions.

He asked: "Nanny you have never told me anything about your life. One day you told me that you were not born in India, but you did not want to tell me more about it."

The old woman looked at the tiny boy and said in a soft tone:

"Dewanand you are too small to know everything about the life outside. The world is cruel and hard. This question is wise and I will tell you the truth, if you really want to know everything about my life."

Dewanand yawned: "Good, tell me everything, because I am small and I want to know this world where I must live now."

The wise and highly aged woman nipped some strong tea and started talking.

"I was born very long ago in the city of darkness. Life was not pleasant, because there was no peace and morality. You do not know the history of India very well, but I will tell you everything. There was a man who fell in love with his dreams of a new future. He was known as the Mahatma, because his dreams were very great and his philosophy was based upon non-violence, infinite goodness and endless sacrifice. The Mahatma gave birth to a son and a daughter during his holy life. He believed in the purity of small boys and he taught his daughter to suffer and deny her existence as a human being. Shortly after the birth of his two children he died peacefully, after a gun fired at him.

The daughter grew up in poverty and loneliness. Nobody took care of her, but she developed a pure mind and the Hindu religion was her secret weapon. Her thoughts were brilliant and many demons tried to abuse her, but she survived and became a beautiful young woman. Because of her smartness she found a caring husband and married. She bore many children and maybe you are one of them at this moment. The whole world admired the strong morality of her offspring and some of them became the fresh stars of the computer industry. One son even became the newborn genius of the chess game. It was wonderful to see that everybody opened the doors for her children and she was so happy to feel the love and devotion of her one billion  children. Those were the real fruits of her suffering and peaceful survival strategy. Her Dharma was to give the world the honey of ancient knowledge and peaceful existence."

Suddenly Dewanand asked: "What was the name of the daughter of the Mahatma?"

The mature talker smiled and answered: "Dewanand you are a good listener. Nowadays everybody says that her name is Mother India or Bharat. She gave birth to you and your whole family. Do you understand?"

"Yes, the Mahatma was really a great man, because his daughter became a diamond of the world. I understand. But what happened to the son? Can you tell me that?"

The patient nanny kept silent for a few minutes, looked at the fire and started telling the secret life story of the only son of the Mahatma.

"In fact they were twins during birth. They were connected with each other, but they hated living together. I was born in the western part in the city of darkness and violence. The eastern son invaded my home city and then a big fight started. I had to observe the slaughter of my parents and my whole Muslim family. After my only sister was raped, the eastern son ripped her genitals with a bayonet and she died slowly, while bleeding with extreme pains. Then it was my turn to get mutilated for life. The eastern son unscrupulously tortured me first and then he raped me in a cruel way. As a young girl of eleven I did not know the pain of these male tortures. I fought for my life and lost consciousness."

Tears were rolling out from her eyes, but she kept on telling the punishments.

"Dewanand, in fact you are too young to hear these awful things. But you must grow up quickly, because the world will not wait for your maturity. Being young and wise is very good for a boy. Now you understand that the son of the Mahatma build friendship with the demons of the earth. All his friends were criminals. These gangsters thought that a criminal lifestyle is the best way of existence, because the fear of the whole world gives happiness and a feeling of being almighty and holy. Our Mahatma was a great man, but he did not know the future. Now he is dead, but if he were alive then he would have committed suicide to try stopping his criminal son. The Mahatma thought that the best punishment for a criminal is forgiveness, but I think that he was completely wrong. Every born criminal will become even worse after forgiveness, because he will conclude that he has the power to become the monistic god of the world. We humans can only beseech Brahman, because this almighty cosmic energy is infinite and the only cause of our own existence. By understanding Brahman we realize ourselves.

You are too young to fully understand my life. The only son of the Mahatma destroyed my youth and mutilated me for life. All my vital female organs were destroyed, because he also tried to rip my body apart. I did not die, because a Hindu medical expert repaired my mutilated body and saved my life. After I recovered, I discovered that I was unable to marry a man and start a normal romance life as a woman. That's why I started working as a nanny of abandoned Hindu children. The Mahatma ordered Hindus to raise every orphaned Muslim child as a good Muslim, as a revenge for the killings of Muslims. And I decided to obey him. As a Muslim woman I had the duty to raise the forgotten Hindu children as good Hindus.

Dewanand interrupted: "Are you Muslim?"

The old woman looked with sadness in her eyes and replied: "The Mahatma was a man from the future. He was born in a wrong time and a wrong place. The greatest mistake of the Mahatma was that he did not know the real message of the Bhagavad Gita. Krishna orders Arjuna to fiercely punish his own bad family, because only then social order can be restored. Maybe I am an old woman now, but I am not insane yet. The Mahatma took the wrong decision to plead for rewarding his criminal son, by stopping to eat as a means of his punishing the son and also offering his forgiveness. I have forgiven the criminal twin-sons of the Mahatma many decades ago, and have chosen the way of karma yoga. That's why I will raise you to become an intelligent  and powerful Hindu man. I must spend my whole life to forgive his criminal son, by living in this way. That is my karma.

Dewanand asked the last questions: "What happened to the criminal twin-sons of the Mahatma and what is their real name?"

His tired nanny hesitated for a while and then continued her tale.

"Many years ago the whole world tried to punish the western son, but they failed completely. The criminal son became the biggest dealer of drugs and he is raping and torturing all women that he can get. In his home there is only hate, terror and suffering. His demonic children have been killed by foreign armies and after that big awful war, the whole world decided to forget him. He lives now alone and nobody wants to be his friend. As a real demon he has to live underground in the darkest and dirtiest caves of the underworld. I do not want to tell you his name, because this name will make my tongue dirty forever."

Dewanand observed his nanny, because she fell silent. At last she finished with the words: "I am a little tired now. Drink some hot chocolate milk and go to sleep. Tomorrow will be a new day for you and then you will be a little bit bigger and smarter."
